I had a fantastic and really informative visit to The Maelor School, Penley in North Wales.
It is very important that, as Shadow Education Minister, I ensure that I am fully informed on how education is being delivered right across Wales and get a grip of what is going well and what is not, what it is that both educators and pupils think should change, what is lacking and also to find examples of best practice that could be shared across our country or that could inform future policy making decisions.
I would like to thank the schools impressive Headmaster Mr Ellis for his time. Ysgol Maelor is an outstanding school and I took away a lot from todays visit.
